best time to visit accademia gallery

The best time to visit the Gallery is between 8.15 am and 9 am, as it is the least crowded.

Tourists usually arrive 30 minutes before the Gallery opens to line up.

Since the Gallery allows only 200 visitors to enter at once, the entry queues can be longer later in the day.

If you cannot make it in the morning, we recommend visiting the Gallery after 5 pm since most visitors leave the Gallery by this time.

The Accademia Gallery is less crowded on weekdays in the winter months, from November to February.

We recommend getting an Accademia Gallery skip the line ticket to avoid all the long queues!

Exploring all parts of the Gallery in detail will take around two hours to see all the famous artworks!

If you’re on a time crunch, our Accademia Gallery Itinerary will help you shorten your visit and see the most famous artworks in an hour.

You can also take an Accademia Gallery guided tour, ensuring you cover every part of the Gallery and its history with a professional in an hour!

These tours allow you to explore comfortably while discovering more than meets the eye so you have a memorable experience.
