Anfield Stadium Opening Hours

Anfield Stadium tour opening hours are from 10 am to 3 pm daily, unless a match is scheduled. 

It is recommended that visitors arrive at the site at least 15 to 20 minutes before their tour.

This will give them enough time to go through health, safety, ticket, and security checkups.

The Liverpool FC Story Museum, located at Anfield Stadium, is open daily from 9:30 am to 5 pm. 

On match days, the museum closes 30 minutes before kick-off, and the last admission is 1 hour before the match, which is 4 pm. 

Please note: The museum does not reopen after the game.

Liverpool Stadium Closing Dates

Anfield Stadium will be closed on Christmas Day (December 25), New Year’s Day (January 1), and the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster (April 15). 

It will also be closed for sponsored or charitable events. On Boxing Day (December 26), the stadium may be closed unless there is a home game.

Anfield Stadium tours can sell out fast, so we recommend you book tickets online to get skip-the-line access to the stadium and museum.

How long will it take to visit Anfield Stadium?

The Liverpool Stadium tour lasts about 70 to 90 minutes and takes you behind the scenes of the stadium, including the dressing rooms, the players’ tunnel, and the pitch. 

You’ll also see the famous Kop stand and the Liverpool FC Story Museum.

If you want to see the exhibits on the club’s greatest players, its most memorable matches, and its many trophies, the tour will last 30 minutes.

During busy hours, the stadium can get crowded, so the entire tour may take up to two hours.

If you’re a big Liverpool FC fan, you could spend a whole day at Anfield Stadium. 

There’s also a cafe and a megastore on site to grab a bite and some souvenirs before or after your visit.

Here is a suggested itinerary for a two- to three-hour visit to Anfield Stadium:

• 10 am – Arrive at Anfield Stadium and check in for your stadium tour.
• 10.30 am – Begin the stadium tour.
• 11.30 am – End the stadium tour and visit the Liverpool FC Story Museum.
• 12.30 pm – Have lunch at the stadium cafe.
• 1.30 pm – Visit the megastore and purchase souvenirs.
• 2.30 pm – Depart from Anfield Stadium.
