Why is there a Height/Age Restriction?

Height and age restrictions at Aquaventure Waterpark are all about keeping everyone safe and ensuring everyone has a good time.

These rules are in place because different rides and attractions have specific safety requirements.

For example, some rides are designed for taller individuals so that they can safely navigate the ride’s twists, turns, and drops.

Similarly, age restrictions help ensure that younger kids aren’t exposed to rides that might be too intense for them.

By following these guidelines, Aquaventure ensures that everyone, from the smallest child to the most daring adult, can enjoy the park safely and comfortably.

So, before you head to the park, it’s important to check these restrictions to plan your day and avoid any disappointments.

After all, safety comes first, and knowing the rules helps everyone have a fun and worry-free experience.

Height Restrictions for Popular Rides

The Aquaventure Waterpark height restrictions aren’t the same for all rides. At the same time, not all rides have height restrictions either.

For most of the thrilling rides, including Trident Tower, Vortex, Tower of Neptune, Tower of Poseidon (Poseidon’s Revenge and Slitherine), and Immortal Falls, children must be at least 1.2 meters (48 inches) tall.

Zoomerango and Aquaconda require a minimum height of 1.07 meters (42 inches), but children between 1.07 meters and 1.2 meters must be accompanied by an adult.

Splasher’s Play Area and The Rapids have a minimum height requirement of 1 meter (3.3 feet).

Below is a quick glance at the height requirements for each ride:

Ride NameHeight Requirements
Trident Tower1.2 meters (48 inches)
Vortex 1.2 meters (48 inches)
Tower of Neptune1.2 meters (48 inches)
Tower of Poseidon (Poseidon’s Revenge and Slitherine)1.2 meters (48 inches)
Zoomerango and Aquaconda1.07 meters (42 inches)

The Rapids1 meter (3.3 feet)
Immortal Falls1.2 meters (48 inches)

Things to keep in mind:

  • Children under 1.2 meters (48 inches) tall should be given special notice because even the minimal water level could be too deep for them.
  • Life jackets are compulsory for all swimmers under 1.2 meters (48 inches) and especially for those visitors who are inexperienced swimmers.

Note: All guests over 1.2 meters (3.9 feet) must purchase an adult ticket to enter the park.

Age Restrictions

Apart from the height restrictions, there are also some rules to keep in mind, especially regarding age:

  • A supervising adult must accompany children below 13 years.
  • Although lifeguards are on duty for everyone’s safety, responsible adults should always keep an eye on their kids and the others they are responsible for.

For the Dolphin Encounter

  • All children under 12 must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult who is 18 years old or older.
  • There is no age limit for the dolphin encounter, dolphin dip and play, and sea lion meet and greet, and children 2 years old and below have complimentary access.
  • For the Dolphin Swim & Explore, participants must be at least eight years old, confident swimmers (no certification required) and able to tread water.

Important Note: Always listen to the lifeguards and follow the rules to keep everyone safe. Any rough play or breaking of the guidelines will result in expulsion from the facility or the whole attraction.

What to Do if You Don’t Meet the Requirements?

If your child doesn’t meet the height or age requirements for certain activities at the water park or other attractions, don’t worry! There are still plenty of options available.

You can explore different areas of the park without restrictions, such as the lazy river or the wave pool.

It’s a great opportunity to relax, soak up the sun, grab a snack, or enjoy other amenities the park offers.

You can also consider visiting the Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis the Palm.

Plus, experiences like the Dolphin Meet and Greet, Dolphin Dip and Play, and Sea Lion Meet and Greet have no restrictions, so everyone can join in the fun together.
