Atomium Tours and Rules

Visiting Atomium and learning fascinating facts about its structure is a highlight of a Brussels tour.

You can tour the spheres open to the public during your Atomium visit. 

These spheres feature exhibitions, light shows, and more to educate visitors about the structure.

• The tour starts with the guests taking the escalator to reach level 7, the topmost sphere. Here, visitors enjoy beautiful and mesmerizing city views and take amazing photos.
  
• The tour then goes back to level 0 with the escalator. Visitors are then taken to levels 1 and 2 for a permanent exhibition and levels 3, 4, and 5 for temporary exhibitions about Atomium, its history, and much more.
  
• The guests are then taken to level 6, where they can enjoy another viewpoint.
  

The tour requires people to climb 80 steps and descend 167 steps.

Throughout the tour, visitors must follow the rules. These rules are about basic discipline and ensure that the tour goes smoothly for everyone.

• Smoking, eating, walking barefoot, using political or any kind of slogan, and bringing animals (except guide dogs) inside are prohibited.
  
• Dress appropriately. To not cause a disturbance with your appearance.
  
• Listen to the staff about the designated entry and exit points.
  
• Ticket is available for one visit and must be kept with you while inside.
  
• Board the lift according to its capacity (18 people). Groups may be split in this case.
  
• Weapons, heavy substances, glasses, foul-smelling objects, and other things that pose a risk to others shall not be allowed inside. Banners are not allowed.
  There is a locker to keep your belongings in before entering.
  
• Climbing the Atomium is not allowed. This comes under other behavioral prohibitions such as jumping around, lighting something, trashing, and rule-breaking.
  
• An adult must accompany visitors under 16.
