JAZZ AT BRAN CASTLE 2023, 10th edition
Date – 25, 26 and 27 August 2023
The Bran Castle Jazz Festival is set to kick off its 10th edition on the last weekend of the summer, featuring 10 concerts across three stages.
Artists from 13 countries will perform, offering diverse jazz styles, including new projects
influenced by nu-jazz, experimental, fusion, and rock.
The festival will begin with the OFER MIZRAHI TRIO, which interweaves Western jazz expressions with Eastern cultural harmonies and performs with a unique whale guitar.
The ZIV RAVITZ TRIO will also take to the stage, featuring musicians from Israel, Italy, and France.
Other highlights include Kit F. Downes and the PJEV women’s choir, the Norwegian double bass of Arild Andersen, and the Bulgarian-German BODUROV TRIO with Itamar Borochov.
Young artists JazzQuarters Trio and the iconic COLIN VALLON TRIO will also perform alongside the French-Canadian supergroup TRIO M.O.M.
Admission to the concert in the Evangelical Church in Râşnov is free, as is access to the Romanian jazz stage.
