1. Special event “Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blaster “Complete the Mission!”

2 July (Tue) – 31 October (Thu), 2024

This limited-time event will celebrate the popular attraction Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters before it closes on 31 October 2024.

During the event, guests will be able to experience the attraction with a new “Astro Hero Time!” presentation. 

Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters is an interactive shooting ride where guests board an “XP-40 Space Cruiser” armed with laser blasters to battle the evil Emperor Zurg.

This special presentation is a must-see for fans of Buzz Lightyear and the Toy Story films before the ride undergo changes or closes permanently.

2. Summer Of Tokyo Disney Resort

2 July, 2024 (Tuesday) – 18 September, 2024 (Wednesday)

This exciting season features various special events, parades, and shows designed to enhance the summer experience for guests at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

The season will include the debut of new nighttime shows and entertainment, creating a magical atmosphere as the sun sets.

3. New Nighttime Spectacular “Reach for the Stars”!

“Reach for the Stars” marks a significant addition to Tokyo Disneyland’s nighttime entertainment lineup. 

It replaces the long-running “Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights” and fireworks show, providing guests with a fresh experience as they end their day at the park.

Duration: Approximately 20 minutes

Performances: 1-2 shows per evening

“Reach for the Stars” will utilize cutting-edge projection mapping technology on Cinderella Castle, combined with lighting, pyrotechnics, and special effects.

The show will feature characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, and, for the first time at Tokyo Disney Resort, Marvel.

4. Disney Halloween

From 1 October 2024 through 7 November 2024

During Disney Halloween, Tokyo Disneyland is transformed into a Halloween wonderland.

The park is adorned with eerie decorations, and Disney characters put their Halloween costumes, adding to the festive atmosphere.

It’s a time when you can expect a blend of Disney charm and Halloween thrills.

One of the highlights of Disney Halloween is the “Fireworks Sky Full of Colors,” when the night sky is illuminated by a breathtaking fireworks display, creating a magical ambiance perfect for Halloween.

5. Disney Christmas

From 15 November 2024 through 25 December 2024

Disney Christmas is a heartwarming event that brings the holiday season to Tokyo Disneyland.

One of the highlights of Disney Christmas is the Christmas tree adorned with the 40th-anniversary logo.

6. New Year’s Special Event

From 1 January 2025 through 13 January 2025

This festive celebration features unique character greetings. 

Mickey Mouse and friends dressed in traditional Japanese kimonos greet guests in both parks.

Guests can enjoy special greetings with characters on floats, accompanied by new music. 

At Tokyo Disneyland, the greeting includes a parade-like experience, while Tokyo DisneySea features a brief show on a barge in the Mediterranean Harbor.

The parks will be adorned with traditional New Year’s decorations, including Kadomatsu displays featuring characters like Mushu from Mulan.

Various park restaurants will offer unique food offerings, celebrating the New Year with traditional flavors.

7. “Disney Pal-Palooza,” Third Event

From 15 January 2025 through 16 March 2025

This special event series focuses on creating a lively and festive atmosphere, inviting guests to enjoy various activities and entertainment centered around Disney characters.

The event celebrates friendship and fun, encouraging guests to join in the festivities with their favorite Disney pals.

Visitors can expect vibrant parades, character greetings, and interactive shows featuring beloved characters like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

8. Fantasy Spring

From 6 June 2024

Fantasy Springs, a new expansion at Tokyo DisneySea, is set to open on 6 June 2024. 

This eighth-themed port will feature three areas inspired by popular Disney animated films: Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Never Land.

Here are the key highlights:

  • Frozen Kingdom: Experience Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, a boat ride through scenes from the film, accompanied by songs like “Let It Go”. 
  • Rapunzel’s Forest: Take a romantic boat ride on Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, revisiting Rapunzel’s journey to the annual Lantern Festival.
