Do note that the food and drinks are not included with your ticket or tour. The following food options are available inside the Met:

Petrie Court Cafe

Menu | Floor 1

Sunday–Tuesday and Thursday: 11 am – 4 pm
Friday and Saturday: 11 am – 8 pm

Enjoy a little treat while looking over the courtyard view with trees, the lawn and the hills. You can have a light snack while making your own artwork.

This cafe is only open to members of the Met.

Met Balcony Lounge

Weekend Member Mornings 9 am – 10 am 

Recently renovated, this quiet break from the rush of the Metropolitan Museum of Art is worth the visit.

At this members-only site, you can have a quick bite and drinks. The peace and quiet at the Balcony Lounge are completely different from New York City.

The Met Dining Room

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 11:30 am–3:15 pm
Friday and Saturday: 11:30 am–3:15 pm and 5–7:45 pm

If you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere for your meal, head to the Met Dining Room.

Here, you can order any combination of three dishes for a three-course meal that you can design.

Make an appointment during the day and enjoy the view of Central Park. This restaurant is open to all visitors.

The Eatery

For a casual dining experience at the cafeteria, you can visit the Eatery at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

In the basement of the building, the quick service will not interrupt your museum exploration.

The Cantor Roof Garden Bar

Floor 5 | Closed for the Season

If you are up at the Roof Top Garden of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, you can soak in the Manhattan skyline as you eat.

This seasonal experience is a must-try during the summer. Allow yourself a cocktail or a little appetizer, and soak in the famous New York skyline over the horizon!

The American Wing Cafe

The cuisine accompanies the artwork in the American wing of the museum. These dishes inspired by the USA’s history complete your experience.

Great Hall Balcony Cafe

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, 11 am – 4.15 pm
Friday and Saturday, 11 am – 8.15 pm

Open on Friday and Saturday evenings, the live music gives you an escape while overlooking the lobby.

The evenings are for live classical music. So, if you are at the Met between 4 pm and 8.30 pm, stop by and enjoy the ambiance at this cafe.

Trie’s Cafe

The Met Cloisters also has an eatery for its visitors, King John’s Tavern.
