Best Time to Explore the Musuem
The Rijksmuseum is least crowded in the morning, from 9 to 11 am. and in the afternoon after 3.30 pm.
Morning is the best time to plan a visit to the Gallery of Honours, as you will find the Musuem almost empty during opening hours!
As most visitors leave early to grab lunch, the Musuem is also less crowded in the afternoon time after 3.30 pm.
Plan your visit on weekdays, from Monday to Friday, as most of the crowd arrives in the city on weekends!

The Cuypers Library is one of the largest historical libraries in the Netherlands and is open to visit inside the Rijksmuseum!
The Research Library is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday.
Visitors can sit and read books from a reserved library section, perfect for art and history students looking to learn more about Dutch history!
You can also reserve a study desk at the Library’s Study Room, which is open from 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday.

It is located on the first floor of the Musuem and is easy to find from the Atrium.
You will see a signboard with Bibliotheek mentioned on it, pointing towards the Cuypers Library, which is accessible through the Waterloo Room on the second floor.
