Do you have a child who doesn’t meet a ride’s height restriction and you still wanna enjoy the ride?

Rider Switch comes in handy to help guests who have a member who does not meet the requirements to enjoy a ride. 

Rider Switch lets all members of the group enjoy the ride without going through the waiting lines twice. 

This is how Rider Switch at Disneyland California works: 

  • Consider you are a group of three: two adults and a child and your child does not meet the requirements to enjoy the ride nor can they be left alone.
  • You can meet the Cast Members at the ride’s entrance and request a rider switch.
  • Once you get the rider switch permit, you can head towards the waiting line while your partner accompanies your child to the waiting area. 
  • After you return, the waiting member gets a lighting lane pass or fast-track entry to the ride in the next round. Hence, they do not have to go through the waiting line again.
