The pyramids of Giza are located on the Giza Plateau, 15 km from Cairo.

Bus Number: 355 and 357

Bus Route 355 takes visitors from EL Tahir Square to Giza.

This is the most convenient route if you stay in the Tahir Square area or the Bank of Nile River. 

Route 357 leaves from Downtown Cairo to the Giza Pyramids. You can take the bus from the Egyptian Museum. 

The bus ride takes one hour and costs 2 EGP ($0.06) to 3 EGP ($0.09)

By Metro 

Nearest Stop: El Giza, Omm El-Misryeen (Giza station)
Metro Line: M2

El Giza Omm El-Misryeen is the closest metro station and is connected by line M2. 

You must take a bus or cab from the metro station to reach the pyramids of Giza. 

The metro ride takes approximately 20 minutes and costs EGP 2 ($0.06).

By Taxi 

Egypt has three types of taxis: Black, White and Yellow. 

The Black taxis do not have a meter and air conditioning and are open for negotiation, while the White taxis offer a fare meter and air conditioner.

The Yellow taxis need prebooking and are the most expensive option. 

You can also book taxis on Uber or Careem and offer half-day or full-day trips.

By Car

Driving to the Pyramids of Giza is the quickest way to get to the Giza Pyramids. 

If you are traveling from central Cario, drive west on EL Tahrir. 

Drive past Gezira Island, take Charles de Gaulle and drive towards Al Haram. 

From there, drive on to Khatem El-Morsaleen and Tersa Street. 

Take a left onto Haret Eixis to reach the Pyramids of Giza.
