The New York weather in spring shifts from extremely cold to pleasant days.

The city experiences an average temperature of 39°F (4°C) in March, 51°F (11°C) in April, and 60°F (16°C) in May.

At this time of year, there is a good amount of rainfall, with an average of 103 mm falling across 14 days each month.

On average, May receives the highest precipitation of 114 mm during spring. 

In New York, spring is when the sun truly starts to shine. 

The city experiences an average of eight hours of sunshine each day during this time of year.

In New York, summer is the warmest time of year. 

The city’s typical temperature is around 71°F (22°C) in June, rising to 77°F (25°C) in July and then falling to 75°F (24°C) in August. 

With an average of 93 mm of rain falling across 13 rainy days per month, summer rainfall is relatively light compared to spring. 

During Summer, June receives the highest rainfall of 101 mm. 

The city receives approximately 11 hours of sunlight every day during summer.

Autumn is when New York weather becomes cold after a warm and humid summer.

The city experiences an average temperature of 68°F (20°C) in September, which falls to 57°F (14°C) in October and 48°F (9°C) in November.

Similar to the summer, New York has very little rainfall in Autumn compared to the other seasons.

An average of 90 mm of rainfall each month with 11 rainy days is expected during this time of year. 

In contrast to the summer, New York experiences significantly less sunshine in the fall, with only 7.5 hours per day on average.

In New York, winter is always the coldest time of year. 

The city’s average temperature is 48°F (9°C) at the beginning of December, and it lowers to 35°F (2°C) in January.

Unexpectedly, New York’s winter is the driest time of year.

This season has only ten rainy days and the average rainfall is 71 mm.

This time of year, snowfall is fairly frequent, with five snowy days in December, eight in January, and six in February. 

In the winter, New York experiences an average of 5.5 hours of sunshine each day, which is significantly less than in the fall.
