Spanish industrialist Joseph Oller and Charles Zidler established the Moulin Rouge in 1889.

Similar to the Eiffel Tower, it was inaugurated to capitalize on the international exposition held that year in the French city.

The company was first known as a nightclub with the title “women’s palace,” and although things weren’t too terrible at first, the bad image it soon acquired soon started to take a toll.

The building’s owners undertook renovations, altered their business plan, and added the fabled red mill that covers the exterior with respect to the historic industries that once dotted the Montmartre hill to revitalize the venue and give it new life.

The Moulin Rouge is a legendary cabaret show located in the Montmartre neighborhood of Paris.

Opened in 1889, the venue is known for its extravagant performances, elaborate costumes and the famous “Can-Can” dance.

The Moulin Rouge show duration is for two hours.

One of the most popular ways to experience the cabaret is by purchasing a Moulin Rouge ticket for the show that also includes half a bottle of champagne.

Champagne served at the Moulin Rouge is a high-quality, French sparkling wine that perfectly complements dynamic performances.

This ticket option allows guests to enjoy the show while sipping on a glass of bubbly, adding to the overall glamor and elegance of the evening.

The Moulin Rouge cabaret show features a variety of acts, including singing, dancing and acrobatics.

Contrary to popular belief, the Moulin Rouge clothing code is not as stringent as it appears.

If you stick to the term “formal,” you won’t run into any issues. Just avoid wearing shorts or tracksuits.

However, the stars of the show are the Doris Girls who come in a troupe of sixty and will sweep you off your feet!

The Moulin Rouge performances are choreographed to the music of famous French composers such as Offenbach and Gounod.

The combination of the historic venue and delicious champagne makes for an evening that is sure to be remembered for a lifetime!
